Moving to the Dark Side

For the first time my primary computer is a Windows machine. A few months ago I could have never imagined making the "reverse" switch.
But when I went a searching for a new computer on Apple’s site I was greeted by the following, "The most affordable G4 system ever, now available with a SuperDrive for only $1,499." In the year 2002 is $1,499 affordable when I can (and did) purchase a HP with Microsoft Office XP for well under $700?
If money grew on trees I’d have a decked out G4 with dual 22-inch studio monitors, but it doesn’t. Simply put I can’t justify the price difference any longer. And to make things worse, Apple may have lost a loyal customer, because I am pretty darn happy with my new machine.
