Those Less Fortunate

December 25th, 2004  |  Published in Stuff

A day or so ago I suggested you donate to NPR and PBS. I kind of got the order of posts, well out of order. Do this first, then if you wish and can afford give money to lister supported media.

Find a local charity and give a young child a warm winter coat, wool hat, and gloves. A book and a toy. I usually just go to T.J. Maxx and can pick up the whole package for $50, but I usually spend a few more dollars.

I just don’t know if there is anything worse for a young child to be cold, not to at least "have" the opportunity to own and have a chance to read a book. And IMHO it is a crime for any child under ten not to get to unwrap one gift during the holiday season.
