Google Logo Magic

The "text book" approach says that logos must always be used in an exact manner. For most firms their logos are outlined in hundred page "graphic usage guidelines." How to use the logo in a brochure, the side of a van, or on a shirt. Companies want to ensure their logos are always used in a uniformed manner. No variation allowed.
Well Google doesn’t agree. If you use the search site very often you’ll notice they change their logo all the time. Mainly around holidays or major events, the above logo for the anniversary of the lunar landing in 1969. This is even more impressive when you consider their logo is just about the only graphic on their site. Google has an online library of their logos right here.
