Newspaper Adscapes

November 5th, 2006  |  Published in Advertising, Design  |  1 Comment

NewsDesigner has an interesting post on how newspapers, in an effort to stop their sagging ad sales, are moving to "Adscpaes." Newspapers are moving away from their traditional square and rectangle ads to something that is integrated more with the text. About time, but is it too late? Many more examples here (PDF file).

I am the graphics manager at the Garden Island Newspaper on Kauai and I am trying to create and have advertising seel more Adscapes… I love them and think that they realyy make it all so much more interesting. I need samples though to share with the other departments so that they know that they work and sell, I just have not found many and was hoping to view the ones here.
I tried to download the pdf files but they are all blank pages.

can you offer me any help?

    ~Cynthia

by the way this is my first time on your space and I love it!
