Reynolds Outdoor Ad

April 27th, 2007  |  Published in Great Creative  |  6 Comments

This is just a stellar outdoor ad for Reynolds Aluminum Foil. So simple (and obvious in hindsight) it is brilliant. If I saw this ad on the street I would actually stop and clap my hands as an ad man. In fact, it may even be better then this 3M bus stop ad.

Both are excellent pieces. My only thought when directly comparing the two is that the 3M piece would be a bit more attention grabbing to the general public due to the visible money. But as an ad-man as well, I agree. Both are excellent executions.

BTW, the 3M piece is via ReThink in Vancouver and the Reynolds piece is Saatchi NY.

Awesome idea. I think the 3M idea is better because it gets people to really think about their security glass produce. I mean it literally puts their money where their mouth is.

This one is great too. It has the potential to become a landmark if they did it with all garages on that street.

Agreed Melvin, the 3M ad is more powerful. I just kind of like the Reynolds a little more, cause it is harder IMHO to advertise a “mass” market product. And lets face it everybody buys foil, not sure how many people are in the market for security glass. But then again, I guess if you need security glass it is a pretty important/vital purchase.
