Realizing (Finally) A Dream

September 19th, 2007  |  Published in Stuff

It is always a wonderful thing to witness an individual realizing their dreams. Even more so when that person is your father. Growing up my father worked 24/7. I can’t recall a single time he ever bought anything of substance for himself. Instead the money always went for things my mother, my brother, or I wanted. So it was with great joy I got an email from him today with the below pic attached.

I can recall hundreds, maybe thousands of times growing up when my father talked for hours about how much he’d love to own a ‘57 Ford Thunderbird. It took him till he was retired for a few years, but he is now the very proud owner of his life long dream. I bet he is tooling around with the top down on a winding country road as I type this.
